Does Farcaster shine because of all the cracked builders? Or is it because of the 10x users 🤔 Watch the Splits interview with Colin Johnson of Ponder for an in-depth discussion.

“Best user base for iterating, testing and then expanding ideas,” according to @proxystudio.eth, cofounder of Clanker. “Amazing home base to stay on the bleeding edge, even if growth typically will demand you spend time elsewhere, too.”

It was a crazy week in crypto more broadly, so Will thought it was apropos to revisit “The Casino on Mars” by Matt Huang of Paradigm. If you need to zoom out for some perspective.

Updates from this week:

  • @salvino launched Yapster, “a native mobile app that turns the solana trenches into a live, competitive game,” and it’s all the rage. Available to download on iOS, but unplayable without an invite code 😢
  • You can mute channels now.
  • “Introducing Token Spaces: a customizable space for every token that the deployer can make their own with Themes, Fidgets (mini-apps), and Tabs.” @nounspacetom
  • Basket is an onchain index creator with a social referral component; waitlist just opened.
  • Promptless automatically drafts updates to your docs as you ship software or support customers.” @prithvi2206
  • Breakdown and review of the social trading app Interface by @benderreth.
  • Good timing, because Interface just launched a web app.
  • Quidli enables in-feed airdrops: “launch your token on @clanker, distribute it to those who engage with you across the FC social graph using @quidli, all without having to leave 🚾” @ahn.eth
  • Scout Reader for Farcaster: “an RSS-like iPhone and iPad app with organized feeds, offline access, and on-device search — no wallet required.” @murdo
  • Introducing Nash: The easiest way for crypto natives to create personal AI agents.”
  • In a similar vein, upcoming token presale for Moxie AI Agents: “Users can deploy no-code AI Agents that aggregate & analyze essential onchain & off-chain information, trade, & conduct business.” @betashop.eth
  • Base is hosting an AI hackathon in London on February 1-2; apply here.
  • Paragraph redesign imminent, testers wanted.
  • Farcade has a new homepage.
  • Super is “highlighting the community ownership of superanon by rewarding, and giving the spotlight to the best anon posters. every week, on mondays, we will distribute 20k $DEGEN tips among top 10 posters from past week.” @woj.eth
  • “This week on ZEROPOD, farcaster legend @yonfrula joins me to talk about how his ‘art clanker’ $GDUPI was born from a @dwr.eth bounty, and tells us all about his winding journey as a very onchain artist.” @toadyhawk.eth

Tried out a slightly different format this week — let me know if you have thoughts.

Cheers,
Sonya
